Today, Tharaka University’s first-year students have embarked on a full-day induction to Library and ICT Services, a critical step in preparing them for academic success.
Students were grouped by faculties and departments for detailed PowerPoint presentations and demonstrations. Ms. Pauline Masaa, the Library In-Charge, led the sessions and oriented students on how to access, utilize, and maximize library resources for learning and research.
At the same time, Dr. Ismael Kwenga (COD, Computer Sciences), Mr. Kevin Tuei (ODeL Coordinator), and Mr. James Kirimi (ICT Services) introduced students to the university’s ICT platforms. The sessions covered digital learning systems, online resources, student portals, and virtual learning, providing essential skills for effectively using technology in the University environment.
The day concluded with rehearsals for the Vice Chancellor’s Address presentations, coordinated by Mr. Maurice Kaura and TUSA leaders. The students prepare to meet the University Leadership on Friday, September 5th.
Tharaka University is committed to providing a technology-driven, research-focused environment that enables students to excel in today’s academic landscape.
