Tharaka University (TUN) Vice-Chancellor and CEO, Prof. Peter K. Muriungi, today hosted officials from the Council for Legal Education (CLE) who paid a courtesy call to his office ahead of their formal audit of the proposed Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) programme.
The session began with joint introductions, after which Tharaka University made a comprehensive presentation covering the institution’s strategic planning, vision and mission, financial commitment, curriculum development, student support structures, and assessment methods.
The audit team further engaged with TUN staff on staffing and staff development matters, including faculty expertise, training programmes, research initiatives, and the student-to-staff ratio. Library and information resources were also highlighted, focusing on core texts, volumes, e-resources, and study spaces available to law students.
The visit concluded with a guided tour of key facilities, including classrooms, the proposed moot court, the library, examination rooms, the student records office, and administration offices. This demonstrated the institution’s readiness to deliver a robust legal education programme.
