Tharaka University today proudly held its annual inauguration ceremony for the 2026/2027 Student Leadership body, marking a key milestone in strengthening student governance and leadership within the institution. The ceremony brought together university management, staff, and students to witness the newly elected student leaders (TUSA) as they assume office.

The Vice-Chancellor emphasized that leadership is anchored on responsibility rather than visibility, noting that the electoral process continues to nurture a culture of accountability and responsible governance among students.
The Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Dr. Collins Sitienei, applauded the student body for demonstrating maturity, peace, and responsibility throughout the electoral process.
The ceremony also celebrated outstanding sporting achievements by Tharaka University teams, including remarkable performances in rugby, para-athletics, darts, taekwondo, and basketball, reflecting the university’s commitment to holistic student development.
This reaffirms our commitment to inclusive governance and responsible student leadership. It underscores our shared responsibility in nurturing accountability, unity, and academic excellence within the TUN community.
