Through an existing partnership and a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Tharaka University, the Tharaka Women’s Welfare Program, and the Women’s Global Education Project, Tharaka University will be hosting Digital Care Week from 9th to 13th February at the University. The initiative combines affordable laptop care services with social impact, supporting education while promoting digital well-being.
For only Ksh. 350 participants will receive both hardware and software services for their laptops, including spill cleanup, dust removal, keyboard unclogging, fan cleaning, hinge lubrication, addressing overheating issues, Windows and Office activation, fresh operating system installation, driver updates, and antivirus installation. The contributions and payments support a girl’s ability to stay in school, reinforcing the University’s commitment to education, empowerment, and community development.
All students, staff, and members of the public are invited to bring their laptops for professional servicing and participate in an initiative that combines digital care with educational support. Through this activity, Tharaka University continues to promote digital inclusion while championing access to education for girls.
