Tharaka University (TUN) Drama Club has successfully showcased all its three items at the ongoing 64th Kenya National Drama and Film Festival at Dedan Kimathi University of Technology in Nyeri County.
Over the past three days, the talented team delivered captivating performances in Narrative, Modern Dance, and a Kiswahili Play, impressing audiences with their creativity, stage mastery, and powerful storytelling.
The students, under the guidance of their Patron Dr. James Ndwiga, Director Marketing and Admissions, alongside Madam Wendy Micheni, Director Performance Contracting, demonstrated exceptional dedication and professionalism throughout their presentations at the prestigious national event.
Guided by this year’s theme, “Bold Storytellers, Digital Stages: Driving Kenya’s Development Through Theatre and Film,” the team effectively embraced innovative storytelling techniques and highlighted relevant societal issues through creative expression.
Although the festival continues until 17th, the TUN team has now concluded its performances and safely returned to campus after proudly representing the university on the national stage.
Tharaka University continues to affirm its growing strength in the creative arts, using performance as a platform to highlight culture, talent, and national development conversations.
The entire university community congratulates the team for their outstanding representation and wishes them continued success in their artistic journey.
