The Government of Kenya has received financing from the African Development Fund (ADF) toward the cost of the Support to Higher Education Science Technology Phase II Project to improve relevance and equitable access to quality higher education, training and research in STEM for inclusive economic growth and employment in Kenya by 2030.
The Government, through Tharaka University, intends to apply part of the agreed amount from the financing towards scholarships in Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields.
The University invites applications for these scholarships from suitably qualified persons to Masters Programmes in the following areas:

🎓 Scholarship Package
The scholarship package will cover tuition fees and research costs for the duration of study.
The scholarships are open to all Kenyans under the age of 30 years who will also be engaged as Graduate Assistants.
Programmes of study funded by the scholarship are scheduled to commence in August, 2026.
Important Information
1️⃣ Applicants MUST have obtained a minimum of Second Class Honors (Upper Division) in a relevant degree from a recognized and accredited University.
2️⃣ Upon successful completion of the Masters Programme, candidates shall be expected to transition to Ph.D. under the scholarship programme.
3️⃣ Successful candidates shall be bonded under the applicable terms and conditions of Tharaka University.
4️⃣ Successful candidates shall complete their studies within the prescribed study period.
5️⃣ Candidates must be registered or registrable with relevant professional and/or regulatory bodies where applicable.
