Tharaka University once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to nurturing creativity and empowering student talent during the day two of the Central and Eastern Region Universities Drama Festival held at Lukenya University.
During the festival, the University proudly presented three competitive items a Play, a Narrative, and a Mime each reflecting the institution’s dedication to cultivating artistic expression, creativity, and intellectual engagement among students.
The play delivered a thought-provoking message on the difficult realities confronting many students in universities and colleges today. It explored how emotional betrayals, financial hardships, and overwhelming personal struggles can push some young people toward despair, risky decisions, and even cybercrime as a desperate means of survival. Despite these challenges and the growing negative perception from society, the production emphasized a powerful message: hope still endures, and with proper guidance and support, young people can overcome adversity and shape a better future.
The Narrative and Mime performances equally captivated the audience through compelling storytelling and expressive stage artistry, further highlighting the depth of talent and creativity among Tharaka University students.
Through participation in such platforms, Tharaka University continues to champion holistic education by nurturing both academic excellence and creative talent among its learners.
