TUN Hosts Staff Training to Boost Mental Health and Uphold Ethical Standards

Tharaka University (TUN) today conducted a comprehensive staff training aimed at strengthening mental health wellness and promoting ethical standards among its employees.

The training, organized by the Office of the Registrar Administration and Planning in collaboration with the Counselling Department, was officially opened by Dr. Shadrack Munanu, Dean of Students.

Led by Mr. Peter Onyango, a TUN Psychologist, the training focused on equipping staff with practical skills to effectively manage their mental health in today’s demanding work environment.

Ms. Wendy Micheni, Director of Performance Contracting, and Ms. Angelica Mutuura, Human Resource Manager, took participants through sessions on national values and the code of conduct, reinforcing the importance of integrity, professionalism, and accountability within the institution.

The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to enhance staff well-being, boost productivity, and align the institution’s operations with national development goals.
