TUN Participates in Madaraka Day Celebrations 2026 Education Week Exhibitions in Wajir County

Tharaka University (TUN) is among the institutions participating in the ongoing Madaraka Day Celebrations 2026 Education Week Exhibitions being held at the Wajir County Headquarters grounds at Wagberi Primary School in Wajir County.

The three-day exhibition, organized under the Ministry of Education, brings together learning institutions, innovators, and stakeholders in the education sector to showcase advancements in education, technology, skills development, research, and innovation. The event is being held under the theme “Education, Skills, and the Future” and was officially flagged off by Dr. Beatrice Inyangala, Principal Secretary, State Department for Higher Education.

During the exhibitions, Tharaka University is showcasing its academic programmes, research innovations, and technological solutions to empower communities and contribute to sustainable national development. The University’s participation reflects its commitment to quality education, innovation, and skills development in line with Kenya’s vision for the future.

The exhibition has attracted participants and visitors from across the country, providing a key platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and collaboration among institutions in the education sector.

Tharaka University is represented at the event by Dr. Ismael Kwenga, COD Computer Science; Ms. Ruth Ndung’u, COD Basic Sciences; and Mr. Adan Ndenge, Farm Manager, alongside students from the University. Through this participation, the University continues to strengthen its visibility at national events while showcasing its commitment to innovation, research, and quality education.
