Tharaka University (TUN) men’s and women’s rugby teams today put up spirited performances during Day Two of the BINGWAFEST Rugby National Championship in Meru.
The women’s team faced a tough challenge in the quarterfinals against Kiambaa Community Women, then proceeded to the 5th-place semifinals, where they battled Kithimu Community Women. Despite their determination and teamwork, the team narrowly missed out on victory.
The men’s team also showed resilience in their quarterfinal clash against Daystar Falcons, later advancing to the 5th-place semifinals, where they faced Blac Blad. The match was tightly contested, with the team displaying great discipline and fighting spirit throughout.
Both teams remain focused and determined as they continue their journey in the championship, proudly representing Tharaka University on the national stage.
