🥋 DESERT COBRAS Charges Into Final Day of Easter Taekwondo Championship

Tharaka University (TUN) marks a vibrant Sporting Easter Sunday as the Taekwondo team, Desert Cobra, steps into action on the second and final day of the Easter Chairman’s Cup Taekwondo Championship.

Led by Coach Mr Douglas Mwiti, the team recently had the honour of engaging with renowned Taekwondo master Kim Jong Kyu from Korea, who commended their progress and expressed keen interest in visiting the University to support its growing Taekwondo excellence.

The senior men’s team will compete across Fin, Fly, Bantam, Feather, Light, and Welter categories, while the ladies will battle it out in Fin, Bantam, and Feather divisions. Inspired by the stellar performance of their juniors, the team heads into the championship focused and determined to secure top honours, including trophies, medals, uniforms, and cash prizes.

With determination, discipline, and an unyielding spirit of excellence, Team TUN is fully set for the challenge.

We wish them the very best as they compete and proudly fly the TUN flag high at the championship.
